Misericordia University men's soccer standout Joe Scanlon (Harford, PA/Mountain View) has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference all-star team.

A junior midfielder, Scanlon was a second-team selection and was one of just two Freedom Conference players chosen.

He was the team MVP and a first-team All-Freedom selection after leading the Cougars in scoring with 28 points (12g, 4a).

Scanlon led the Freedom Conference in conference-only scoring and scored a string of huge goals to help the Cougars win the championship.

He scored the game-winner against King's in the regular season finale and had a pair of goals in a Freedom semifinal win over Wilkes.

He added the game-winner in the Freedom title match at Manhattanville.
