Jeff Clark
won two events and met the provisional qualifying time for the NCAA D-III Championships in the 100 breaststroke to lead the Misericordia University men’s swim team at the Longnecker Invitational, Saturday at Grove City.

Clark defended his title in the 100 breaststroke and set a school and meet record (57.79) in the process. He added another school record while winning the 200 breaststroke (2:11.04).

Adam Grzech, Clark, Eric Schollmeyer and Greg Vossler (1:39.89) finished second in the 200 medley relay.

Schollmeyer (56.57) and Thomas (57.06) were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 100 butterfly.

Nick Cannizzaro (18:31.54) finished fourth in the 1650 free and teamed with Vince Paone, Brendan Dougherty and Colton Herb (7:41.87) to place sixth in the 800 free relay.

Cannizzaro (4:42.79) and Brendan Dougherty (4:44.23) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 400 IM while Mike Labagh (1:05.17) was seventh in the 100 breaststroke.

Mike Dougherty was seventh in the 200 back (2:08.53) and eighth in the 100 back (57.86).

Grzech was eighth in the 100 free (50.61) and Eric Thomas, Labagh, Kyle Geier and Mike Dougherty (1:46.19) were seventh in the 200 medley relay.

Geier (2:18.87) was eighth in the 200 butterfly.

Grzech, Schollmeyer, Vossler and Clark (3:20.14) were fourth in the 400 free relay.

The Cougars finished third of five teams with 552.5 points.
