Jeff Clark (Minisink Valley, NY/Middletown) was a repeat selection as the Wendy’s Misericordia University Male Athlete of the Month for February while Abby Kocon (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) and Susan Bochnovich (Olyphant, PA/Lakeland) shared the female honor.
Clark, a sophomore swimmer, won three events at the MAC Championships while setting five school records.
He won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes while setting a school and CYC pool record in the 200 and was part of a school record as the Cougars won the 200 free relay.
He finished fourth in the 200 and 400 IM, including a school record in the 200 (2:00.3) and helped the Cougars finish second in the 200 and 400 medley relays while setting school records in both events.
Kocon, a junior swimmer, won five events at the MAC Championships and was part of seven school records.
She won the 50 and 100 free and was second in the 200 free.
She was part of winning teams in the 200 free, 400 free and 400 medley relays. MU was second in the 800 free relay.
Bochnovich, a senior, was named the MAC Female Track Athlete of the Year after winning three events at the MAC Indoor Championships.
She won the 200m and 400m dash and was part of MU’s 400mx4 relay.
