The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team fell 16-5 to Lycoming on the road Thursday afternoon despite a four-goal performance by top scorer Sean McGuigan.
McGuigan scored the Cougars' lone goal of the first half--a score that tied the game 1-1 at 6:47 in the first period. The team faced a 10-1 deficit at halftime.
The team scored four in the second half but trailed by as much as 12 points. They were outshot in the game 46-20.
McGuigan's four goals led the team and put him at 23 for the season. Dan Rafferty notched a goal and an assist, and Lee Blair added an assist.
The Cougars (3-8, 1-5) travel to Manhattanville on April 15.
