Three members of the Misericordia University baseball team were named to the 2103 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team.
Pete Doggett,
Kyle Lindsay and
Will Minderjahn received the honor after leading the Cougars to a third-place finish at the event held at PNC Field in Moosic, PA, May 15-19.
Doggett closed out his career with a complete game effort in a 2-1 win over Ramapo to move the Cougars to the elimination bracket final.
He struck out seven while holding the Roadrunners to four hits and just one unearned run.
Minderjahn tossed a complete game shutout in a 6-0 win over Alvernia in an elimination game. The lefty allowed just four hits and four walks while striking out two.
Doggett and Minderjahn tied for the tournament lead with a 0.00 earned run average.
Lindsay, a freshman left fielder, hit .316 in five games from the leadoff spot.
He was 6-19 with five walks and a .458 on-base % and was 4-4 in stolen bases while leading the tournament with eight runs scored.
After dropping their tournament opener to Ramapo, 2-0, the Cougars won three straight games before falling to Keystone, 6-5, in 11 innings.
Misericordia finished 39-11 to set a new school record for wins in a season.
