Mark Stauffer '97 is in his 10th season as head women's soccer coach at Misericordia where he also serves as intramural director.
In 2008, he led a young Cougars team to a 5-14 record in their first year as part of the Freedom Conference.
Playing the toughest schedule in school history, the Cougars managed a pair of wins over regionally-ranked opponents.
In 2006, he led the Cougars to a 16-7 record and a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championship, including Misericordia's fourth NCAA Championships berth in five years.
He was named PAC Coach of the Year in 2002 after leading Misericordia to a PAC title and an NCAA Championships berth.
Stauffer has compiled a 116-57-8 record, including the best record in school history in 2002 (19-2).
He holds his NSCAA premier coaching diploma and is a regional staff coach for the NSCAA. He previously served as an assistant men's soccer coach at Misericordia and helped the Cougars to a PAC championship in 1997.
During his playing career, he was a two-time PAC all-star and led the Cougars to three appearances in the PAC championship match, including a PAC title in 1996.
He ranks among Misericordia's all-time leaders in five categories, including career points, goals and assists and single-season points and goals.
