Pete Egbert is in his third season as head baseball coach at Misericordia University where he also serves as the Fitness Center Coordinator.
A year ago, the Cougars set an NCAA-era school record for wins in a season (22-18) in their first season in the Freedom Conference.
Egbert was named Coach of the Year in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in his first season after leading the Cougars to a playoff berth in 2008.
He spent five seasons as the head baseball coach at Fitchburg (MA) State College where he led the Falcons to four playoff berths.
In addition, he was a three-time MASCAC Coach of the Year.
Egbert earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri and holds a master’s in physical education/athletics administration from Springfield College.
