Chuck Edkins is in his 19th season at Misericordia University as head men's soccer coach.

He is in his sixth year as assistant athletics director after serving 13 seasons as head baseball coach.

In their first season in the Freedom Conference, the Cougars finished 14-4-3 and won the conference championship and advanced to the 2008 NCAA Championships.

He was named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year and improved to 198-121-21 for his career.

Under Edkins, Misericordia won three Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championships and made 10 trips to the PAC finals - more than any other school.

The Cougars reached the post-season 14 times in the 16-year history of the PAC.

The 2000 PAC championship squad became the first team in Misericordia history to earn an NCAA Championships bid.

Edkins has also guided the Cougars to five appearances in the ECAC championships.   Misericordia won the ECAC South title in 2002 and has finished second on two occasions.

A four-time PAC Coach-of-the-Year recipient, Edkins holds an NSCAA Advanced National coaching license.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in physical education from SUNY-Cortland.

Matt Pucci, a former standout at Loras (IA) College, is in his second seaon as a graduate assistant at MU.
