Jason Morini is in his sixth season as head swim coach at Misericordia where he also serves as aquatics director.
In 2008-09, the women's team finished 8-4 and won the MAC championship while the men's team went 8-3 and finished third at the MAC meet.
The teams combined to win 11 events at the MAC's and set 18 school records.
Morini has guided the men's and women's teams to a combined 74-45 record over five years.
The teams have established 53 school records during that time.
Morini previously served as head coach at Division I Canisius College where he helped the women’s team establish five school records at the 2004 MAAC championships.
He has also served as an assistant coach at Ithaca College where he helped the men’s team to the first conference championship in school history in 2001.
Morini holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Ithaca where he was a four-year letterman and served as team captain as a senior.
He earned his master’s degree in professional studies in community service administration from Alfred.
In addition, Morini works annually at the Richard Quick National Swim Camp which is hosted by Quick, a three-time U.S. Olympic coach.
He will be assisted by former MU standout
Eddie Halloran, who set three school records in two seasons.
