The Misericordia University softball team opened the season with a split at the Rebel Spring Games, Sunday in Ocoee, Florida.
Kat Lucenti tossed a four-hitter to lead the Cougars to a 5-2 win over Mary Wasington College in the opener.
Lindsay Miller had two hits and three RBI and
Kirsten Peters added an RBI double.
The Cougars dropped the nightcap to Ferrum, 12-4.
