The Misericordia University softball team advanced Sunday's championship game at the ECAC South championships with a 3-2 win over host Washington & Jeffeson College.
Trailing 2-1, the Cougars scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Brittany Bradburn reached on a bunt single with one out and
Courtney Novajosky reached on a fielder's choice.
Lindsay Miller and
Hollie Sarnak had back-to-back singles to score Novajosky and Miller scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch.
W & J took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and MU cut the deficit in half on
Nicole Wenner's RBI-double in the bottom of the inning.
Gina Urbon had two hits for the Cougars and
Katie Eiden didn't allow an earned run while earning the win.
Misericordia, 34-12, will face the Swarthmore/W & J survivor, Sunday at noon.
