Neumann rallied for four runs over the final two innings to beat Misericordia University, 5-4, and advance to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championship game for the third straight season, Saturday afternoon at Misericordia.
Trailing, 4-1, the Knights scored two runs in the top of the sixth and took advantage of two Misericordia errors to score two more in the top of the seventh.
Jen Goslin led off the sixth with a walk and pinch-runner Gabrielle Hayes scored on Danielle Hayes' double. One out later, Christina Walsh doubled to score pinch-runner Erika Varga.
Kim Kirpatrick doubled to lead off the seventh and scored when pinch-hitter Stephanie Marrone reached on an error.
Caitlin Hanrahan walked and eventually scored the winning run on an error.
Gina Urbon ripped a two-run homer to give the Cougars a 2-1 in the second inning and
Hollie Sarnak made it 3-1 with an RBI-single in the third.
MU went up 4-1 in the fourth when
Ashley Ballard doubled and came around to score on
Nicole Wenner's single.
Courtney Novajosky and Kristne Norris had two hits for Misericordia.
Hayes had three hits for Neumann and Kirpatrick added two.
Angela Sebasto allowed nine hits and struck out seven to pick up her second win of the day.
Katie Eiden took the loss, allowing six hits in six-plus innings.
Misericordia will face Gwynedd-Mercy in an elimination game, Sunday at 10:00.
