9/14/2010 11:06:27 AM

Alfred Santasiere III, Misericordia alumnus and co-author of Twenty-Seven: The Official Yankees World Series Commemorative, will be signing copies of the book at the Anderson Sports-Health Center on the campus of Misericordia University on Saturday, September 18, at 3 p.m.

Twenty-Seven, the only officially licensed publication about the New York Yankees 2009 World Series championship, provides a breakdown of the Yankees magical title run with more than 75 never-before-seen photographs and an introduction by Yankees manager Joe Girardi. It also features a regular season review, postseason game stories, and exclusive essays written by some of New York's most renowned writers.

"I am especially looking forward to this book signing, because it gives me the opportunity to celebrate the Yankees 2009 championship season with my alma mater," Santasiere said. "I am honored to be invited back to Misericordia to sign copies of Twenty-Seven."

Santasiere, 31, is the director of publications for the New York Yankees. In his current position, he serves as the editor-in-chief of Yankees Magazine and the New York Yankees annual yearbook. He also co-authored Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective and The Final Season: The Official Retrospective.

Twenty-Seven retails for $25.
