The Misericordia University men's and women's swim teams opened the season at the Bloomsburg Relays, Saturday.

The men's squad scored 140 points to finish second behind Bloomsburg while the women's team had 122 points to finish third.

The men's team had four second-place finishes including the 300 backstroke of Mike Dougherty, Nick Cannizzaro and Mitch Finch (2:55.11).

Mike Labagh, Nick Clark and Finch were second in the 300 breaststroke (3:19.17) while Finch, Clark, Robbie Jacobs and Greg Vossler were second in the 400 medley (3:46.56).

Vossler, Dougherty, Clark and Jacobs were second in the 200 free (1:34).

The women's team had two second-place finishes, including the 300 breaststroke team of Jessie Williamson, Alaina Trent and Amanda McHugh (3:41.42).

Trent, Abby Kocon, Megan McChesney and Michelle Lacroce were second in the 4x100 IM (4:32.91).

Misericordia will host FDU-Florham in their home opener, Wednesday at 6:00.
