Alfred Santasiere III, Misericordia alumnus and co-author of
Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective, returned to campus to sign copies of his book, November 22.
Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective includes 81 first-person accounts from the likes of former presidents
Bill Clinton and
George H.W. Bush, Muhammad Ali, Paul McCartney, Jim Brown, Michael Bloomberg and
Dan Quayle, along with Yankees greats
Yogi Berra, Reggie Jackson, Don Mattingly, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and

Yankees owner
George Steinbrenner wrote the introduction and former New York City Mayor
Rudy Giuliani authored the foreword.
The 232-page coffee-table book, which was published by Simon & Schuster, was released in March. It debuted on the New York Times best-seller list on April 20 and retails for $50.
“It was great to be back at Misericordia,” Santasiere said. “I have fond memories of my time at Misericordia and I'm proud to be associated with such a great institution.”
Santasiere, 29, is the director of publications for the New York Yankees and serves as the editor-in-chief of Yankees Magazine and the New York Yankees annual yearbook.
Prior to joining the Yankees front office in 2003, Santasiere earned a master's degree in sports administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida, and worked in the media relations departments of the Baltimore Orioles and Miami Dolphins.
