In accordance with league rules, the Blue Team and Orange Team battled to a scoreless tie in the opening game of the Forty Fort Pioneers U-6 league, Sunday.
However, everyone in attendance knows that the Blue Team, led by four-year-old rookie Quinn Crispell, was the winner.
"We don't keep score, but everyone knows who won," said Blue Team head coach
Scott Crispell. "The kids did a great job, but it really came down to coaching."
The biggest challenge facing the Blue Team was in pre-game. "The field is located near the airport and there was a stunt plane flying over before the game," said Crispell. "That kind of freaked Quinn out - once we got her to stop crying, it was smooth sailing."
