Misericordia University held the induction ceremony for the sixth class of the Misericordia athletics Hall of Fame as part of Homecoming Weekend, Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Center.
This year's honorees include
Todd Bardua '01, Kirsten (Myers) Ford '95, Cindy (Hughes) Seery '92 and
Robert Tugend '99.
Bardua was a two-sport standout in soccer and baseball and is still the most prolific scorer in the history of the men's soccer program.
He shares the school single-season records for goals (19) and points (44) and holds the school career marks for goals (44) and points (108).
Ford was a three-time All-Conference selection while leading the women's volleyball team to a pair of league championships, including the first championship in the history of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
She was a two-time team MVP and still holds the school single-season record for hitting percentage (.426).
A dominant left-handed pitcher, Seery helped put the Misericordia softball program on the map. She holds the school single-season (0.47) and career (1.14) earned run average.
She led the nation in strikeouts as a freshman and a junior.
Tugend excelled in basketball and golf and earned All-PAC honors in both sports.
A two-time team MVP in basketball, he is fourth in school history in points (1,398), he led the PAC in scoring as a senior while helping the Cougars to their first PAC title game appearance.
