Sam Helmstetter accounted for all five goals to lead the Misericordia University women's soccer to a 5-4 win at FDU-Florham, Saturday.
Helmstetter had two goals and three assists as the Cougars won their second straight.
Trailing 2-0 late in the first half, Helmstetter cut the lead in half with an assist from
Ashley McDonnell in the 35th minute.
Kim Suchoski scored one minute into the second half with an assist from Helmsetter to tie the score.
After FDU went ahead 3-2, McDonnell scored at 60:42 with an assist from Helmstetter to make it 3-3.
Helmstetter put MU ahead 4-3 with a penalty kick at 64:17.
Kristen Gedon added an insurance goal at 70:21 with assists from Helmstetter and
Kate Usher.
MU will host Wilkes, Wednesday at 7:00.
