The Misericordia University women's tennis team will compete at the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships this weekend.

Doubles action is set to begin Friday at 6:00p.m. at Kingston Indoor Tennis Club.

Singles play will open Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Kingston Indoor Tennis Club.

Semifinals are scheduled for Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at Kirby Park or Kingsgton Indoor.

MU finished 8-3 overall and was third in the Freedom Conference at 4-2.

The Cougars are led by senior Abby Searfoss who finished 9-2 at first singles and teamed with Ashley Mangabang for an 8-1 mark at number-one doubles.

Lauren Verret was 6-2 at fifth singles while Ellyn Wingert finished 5-2 at sixth singles.

Verret advanced to the MAC semifinals at sixth singles a year ago.

Maura Haupt and Courtney Otto were 9-2 at second doubles where they advanced to the semifinals last year.

Haupt, Mangabang and Otto will compete at second through fourth singles, respectively.

Verret will team with Jennifer Spott at third doubles.
