The brand-new Post swimming team opened up their first-ever varsity season with a dual meet at Misericordia, Saturday afternoon.

With only four swimmers competing from Post and MU coming off a race the night before at Messiah, the team score competition was not as fierce as some contests. In the end, the Cougars cruised to a 111-13 victory on the women's side, with the men winning 111-32.

Good performances on the women's side including Abby Kocon (11:59.97 in the 1000 free), Jessica Grant (2:09.27 in the 200 free), and Chelsea Mixon (winner in the 50 free and 50 butterfly).

For the men, Vince Paone won the 500 and 1000 free. Six other swimmers (Jeff Clark, Greg Vossler, Nick Cannizzaro, Eric Thomas, Adam Grzech and Mike Dougherty) won individual events for MU.

The Cougars will travel to Stevens, Saturday at 1 PM.
