Misericordia University swimming standout Jessica Grant was named the 2008-09 MAC Female Rookie of the Year at the MAC Championships, Sunday.

Grant recorded four top-three finishes while helping the Cougars to the MAC team title.

She finished second in the 1650 free (18:53.22) and was third in the 200 free (2:01.68) and 500 free (5:28.28).

She added a second place finish after swimming the opening leg of the 800 free relay (8:14.74).
