Misericordia University's Susan Bochnovich was named the MAC Female Track Athlete of the Year after winning three events at the 2009 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Saturday at Lehigh.

Bochnovich won the 200m dash (26.67) and 400m dash (1:01.52) and anchored the 4x200m relay (1:50.75) to win with Stephanie Pellegrino, Robin Razawich and Ashley Cory.

Ali Ostrum led three Cougars in the top six in the mile with a second-place finish (5:14.19). Marcie Cusatis and Aimee DiLucido finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Ostrum was third in the 5000m run (18:37.26) and joined DiLucido, Alaina Trent and Rachel Tomkins to finish fifth and set a school record in the 4x800m relay (10:41.94).

Razawich, Pellegrino, Cusatis and Bochnovich finished third in the 4x400m relay (4:17.91).

Razawich was fifth in the high jump (4'9-3/4”) and set a school record while finishing seventh in the long jump (15'11-1/2”).

Pellegrino was fourth in the 55m hurdles (9.54) and Cusatis was eighth at 800m (2:27.9).

Jessica Bealer was fourth in the shot put (35'5”) and ninth in the weight throw (31'5-3/4”).

The Cougars finished fourth of 10 teams in the team standings.
