Vanessa Wright had 13 points and four assists to lead the Misericordia University women's basketball team to a 55-43 non-league win at John Jay College, Monday.

Christine Marks had 10 points and seven rebounds and Lacey DeGraw added 10 points as the Cougars improved to 11-10.

The Cougars built a 14-point lead late in the first half and never trailed.

The Bloodhounds eventually cut the lead to two points, but Misericordia put the game away when Marks and DeGraw combined for six straight points midway through the second period.

Marks sank a free throw and drained a jumper following a steal by Robinson and DeGraw converted a three-point play for a 50-38 lead with 7:16 to play.

MU will host FDU-Florham, Wednesday at 6:00.
