The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team got goals from seven different players enroute to an 8-6 non-league win at Mt. St. Vincent's College, Wednesday night.
Zach Buckley scored two goals and
Sean McGuigan and
Patrick McTague had a goal and an assist.
Lee Blair, Seth Swiatkowski, Dean Tilton and
Tim Bojanowski all added goals.
James Scott made eight saves to earn the win in goal.
MU opened the game with three straight goals from Blair, Swiatkowski and Buckley in the first 7:30.
After Mt. St. Vincent's got on the board, Buckley and McTague scored in the final three minutes of the quarter for a 5-1 lead after one period.
Both teams tallied twice in the second period and MU took a 7-3 lead into halftime.
Mt. St. Vincent used a 3-0 run to pull within 7-6 early in the fourth quarter, but Bojanowski added an insurance goal with under a minute to play.
Misericordia is 2-3 and will host Messiah in their MAC opener, Saturday at 1:00.
