The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team lost at Widener, 17-2, Wednesday night.

Lee Blair had a goal and an assist for the Cougars and Sean McGuigan added a goal.

After playing even for much of the first period, Widener scored a goal just before the buzzer to take a 4-1 lead after one quarter.

The Pioneers scored nine unanswered goals in the second period for a 13-1 halftime lead.

MU is 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the MAC and will host Eastern, Saturday at 3:30.
