Katherine Lucenti (Montrose, PA/Elk Lake) and Mike Murphy (E. Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) have been named the Wendy's Misericordia University Athletes of the Month for March.

Lucenti is a junior pitcher on the MU softball team. She was 7-3 with a 1.69 earned run average and 52 strikeouts.

She hit .304 with two doubles and one game-winning hit.

Murphy, a senior third baseman on the baseball team, led the team in batting at .418. He
had a team-high 38 hits and 56 total bases, including seven doubles, four triples and one homer.

He led the team with 26 runs scored and on-base percentage (50.5%).

In addition, he set an NCAA D-III single-game record with eight hits at Polytechnic.
