Jennifer Probst of Harrisburg has been named head softball coach at Misericordia University, David Martin, director of athletics has announced.
Probst, who will also serve as coordinator of athletics operations, replaces Charlotte Slocum who retired earlier this year after 30 seasons at the helm.
She comes to MU after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at York College of Pennsylvania where she helped the Spartans to a 57-26 record and a pair of Capital Athletic Conference playoff berths.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jen to our athletics staff,” said Martin. “She has the knowledge, experience and energy to continue the winning softball tradition at Misericordia.”
A graduate of Bloomsburg University with a degree in biology, Probst helped the Huskies to three PSAC playoff berths and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
