Michael Crisci, 84, of Dallas, long-time fan and friend of Misericordia athletics, passed away Sunday evening, August 23, 2009.
Known simply as "Mr. C," he could be seen on the sidelines at most home games for decades.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Michael and Rose Uritz Crisci. He was a graduate of West Pittston High School and Upsala College.
Before retiring, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor in various capacities.
Previously, he was a sales representative for Block Pharmaceuticals.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country during World War II. He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas; the Father O'Leary Council Knights of Columbus; former member of the Dallas Lions Club; and was active in the Misericordia University community life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Weiss, in 1970; brother George.
Surviving are daughters Michelle Carter and husband Jeff, Dallas; Rose Ann Crisci, Sweet Valley; Becky Crisci, Dallas; Ann Crisci Perez and husband Al, Lancaster; sister Rose Marie Crisci, Exeter; brother Robert, Indiana; grandchildren Rose Carter, Dallas; Lori Coyle, Harrisburg; Michael Pace, Sweet Valley; great-grandson Carter Coyle.
Funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church, with the Rev. Daniel A. Toomey officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
