The Misericordia University men's and women's cross-country teams have announced their 2009 schedule after a successful 2008 campaign saw four Cougars garnering all-conference honors.
Both teams begin competition on September 14 at the NEPA Classic in Wilkes-Barre. On September 19, Misericordia will host the Cougar Classic. At last year's meet, then-junior Ali Ostrum's third-place finish paced the women to a second-place finish on their home course.
The highlight of the season comes on October 31, as the Cougars head to DeSales to compete in the MAC Championships. The women finished third in the conference last season, and the men finished sixth. Ostrum and Megan Dreabit were both honored as first-team all-MAC with top-six finishes while Frank Redmond was second-team all-MAC for the men.
The NCAA Mid-East Regional meet will be held on November 14 at Lehigh.
