Despite four players in double figures, the Misericordia University men's basketball team dropped a 91-72 non-league decision at Lancaster Bible, Monday.
Mark Williams and Dom Del Prete led the Cougars with 13 points each while Jeff Slanovec and Sean Bieski added 12 and 10, respectively.
Trailing 49-47 at halftime, the Cougars scored just 25 points in the second half to fall to 12-9.
The Chargers built a 27-17 midway through the opening period before the Cougars went on a 20-9 run to take a 37-36 lead.
After Williams made a pair of three-pointers, Del Prete converted a three-point play as part of his five straight points to MU within 31-28 with 6:31 left in the half.
Slanovec buried three straight three-pointers to give the Cougars a 37-36 lead with 3:15 to go.
Williams and Ethan Eichhorst both added three-pointers for a 47-45 lead, but Lancaster Bible got two buckets in the final 29 seconds to take a 49-47 halftime lead.
The Chargers opened the second half on a 13-2 run to take a 62-49 lead with 14:31 to play.
A three-point play by Del Prete cut it to 65-57 midway through the period, but Lancaster Bible scored 12 straight points for a 77-57 lead with 7:19 to go.
MU will visit DeSales, Wednesday at 8:00.
