The Misericordia University men's basketball team earned a bid to the ECAC Southern Championships.

The Cougars, 16-11 and the Freedom Conference runners-up, will travel to Penn State-Behrend in Wednesday's opening round.

PSU-Behrend finished 18-8 after losing in the semifinals of the Allegheny Mountain Conference tournament.

First-round winners will advance to top-seeded Catholic for the semifinals and finals this weekend.

The Misericordia/PSU-Behrend winner will face the winner of Bethany/Neumann.
