Senior Jamie Philippi has been selected as the Freedom Conference pitcher of the week after leading the Cougars to an upset of nationally-ranked Keystone, last Saturday in Winter Haven, FL.

The Cougars used big rallies in the sixth and eighth innings to shock the #11 team in the country, 9-4.

Philippi turned in a sterling performance on the mound, allowing just two runs in seven innings of work. He struck out two batters.

The captain also ripped an RBI-triple to push MU's lead to 4-2.

For the season, Philippi is 2-0 in three starts, with a 1.20 ERA.
