The Misericordia University men's indoor track and field team traveled to Ursinus College for the Bow-Tie Track Classic, Saturday.
MU was highlighted by juniors
Sean Ciborowski and
Sean Vitale.
In the 800 meters, the Cougars placed three in the top eight.
Jarrett Higley (2:03.21) led the way finishing fourth followed closely by
Josh Krall (2:03.62).
Kyle Suponcic finished less than a second back in eighth with a time of 2:04.18.
Ciborowski won the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 8.64. The 4x400 meter relay made up of
Mike Eckman, Johnny Gibbons, Suponcic and Aiden Marich, came in second with a time of 3:38.80.
Eckman ran the second-fastest times in school history in the 60m (7.4) and 200m (23.52).
The field events were highlighted by Vitale, who jumped 12.79 meters in the triple jump. Vitale also finished sixth in the long jump with a distance of 5.78 meters, right behind Steven Clemson who jumped 5.98 meters to finish fifth.
MU finished fourth of 13 D-III schools with 70 points. The Cougars will be in action again against Ursinus, January 20.
