Coming off the most successful season in program history, several members of the Misericordia University baseball team made their mark in competitive summer leagues across the country. Two players in particular-
Dylan Mazzo and
Chris Tuttle- had success in leagues featuring mostly Division I student-athletes.
Mazzo, a junior infielder, played for the Red Rocks in the Arizona Summer Collegiate League, a wood-bat league. Mazzo batted .284 for the season, stole five bases and scored eight runs.
The Red Rocks finished the season with a record of 12-13-2, losing in the round of 16 in the league playoffs.
Tuttle, a senior catcher and returning captain, played in the inaugural season of New Hampshire's Futures Collegiate Baseball League (also a wood bat league) for the Seacoast Mavericks.
Tuttle played in 25 games, batting .239. He added nine RBIs and drew 15 walks, second-best on the team.
