Misericordia University standout
Kenny Durling (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley) has been named honorable mention for the d3baseball.com Pre-Season All-American team.
Durling, a junior outfielder, led the Cougars to a Freedom Conference Championship in 2011 and their first trip to the NCAA Championships.
He was twice named to the National Player of the Week honorable mention list and earned the All-Region Gold glove award. He was named to the All-ECAC South Team and First Team All-Freedom.
Named team MVP, he hit a team-high .382 and led MU in hits (66), RBI (46), doubles (20) and total bases (110), tying a school single season record. He was second on the team in slugging (.636) and home runs (8).
MU kicks off the season on February 18, with a double header against Shenandoah.
