The Misericordia University men's swim team finished the first day of the MAC Championships, Friday.

The 200 Free Relay of Adam Grzech, Brad Thomas, Eric Schollmeyer and Matt Moates finished first in a time of 1:25.66.

In the 200 IM Peter Kolokithias (2:01.36) and Thomas Machi (2:02.54) finished five-six, respectively.

In the 50 free Grzech placed second (21.75), Thomas tied for fourth (22.09), Schollmeyer finished seventh (22.24) and Doug Ranson (22.47) was eighth.

The session concluded with a victory in the 400 Medley Relay (3:30.28) by Grzech, Ranson, Moates and Kolokithias.

The Cougars scored 196.5 points, 53.5 behind Albright.
