The Misericordia University women's swim team is 3rd after the second day of the MAC Championships.
The 200 medley relay team of
Bree Grzech,
Amanda Stammherr,
Brittany Luzik and
Aryn Zimmerman finished 2nd in a school record time of 1:49.73.
Luzik broke another school record in the 100 butterfly when she finished 3rd in 58.61.
Chelsea Mixon (1:00.86) and
Brianna Hiltey (1:02.79) finished 1st and 4th, respectively, in the consolation heat.
Jessica Grant placed 4th with a 2:00.29 in the final of the 200 freestyle while MU went 2-3-4 in the consolation heat.
Kiana Ramirez (2:02.78) finished 2nd,
Alexandria Taylor (2:02.93) placed 3rd and
Aryn Zimmerman (2:04.24) finsished 4th.
In the 200 breaststroke Stammherr finished 2nd (1:08.62) and
Beth Karmondy placed 4th (1:09.04) while
Allison Thomas won the consolation heat in 1:13.87.
Grzech finished 2nd in the 100 backstroke in a time of 59.93 and
Holly Welsh placed 8th (1:03.42).
The the team of Mixon,
Dana Hallam, Ramirez and Grant wrapped up the evening with a school record when they placed 3rd in the 800 freestyle relay by (8:08.61).
