Mike Hatcher of Ithaca, NY has been named offensive coordinator at Misericordia University, David Martin, director of athletics, has announced.
Hatcher, a graduate of Rhodes College (TN), will also coach the quarterbacks and serve as assistant coordinator of athletics operations. “I'm pleased to welcome Michael Hatcher to the Misericordia University family as a member of our football coaching staff,” said Martin. “His combination of experience, knowledge and energy level will be an asset to our program.”
Hatcher spent the last two seasons as the offensive line coach at Ithaca where he also served as the primary offensive play caller. He was also responsible for scouting reports and game planning.
He spent the previous three seasons as the wide receiver/assistant quarterbacks coach for the Bombers.
A native of Houston, TX, Hatcher was a four-year letterman as a wide receiver at Rhodes where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science before joining the Ithaca staff as a graduate assistant in 2007.

Mark Ross. “He is bright and innovative and has a tremendous future in coaching. He is a wonderful addition to our program.”
Misericordia will begin varsity competition in the MAC in 2012.
