Misericordia University men's basketball standout Ethan Eichhorst (Drums, PA/Hazleton Area) has earned All-American status, according to D-III News.

A senior forward, Eichhorst was a fifth-team All-American selection by D-III News.

He was also one of 18 seniors chosen to play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Reese's Division III All-Star Game.

Eichhorst was the Freedom Conference Player of the Year and led the Cougars to their first Freedom championship and NCAA Tournament berth.  He was an NABC All-District selection and a d3hoops.com All-Region honoree.

He finished third in the Freedom in scoring (18.0 ppg) and ninth in rebounding (7.3 rpg).

He led the league and was 12th in the nation in free throw percentage (88.5%) and was third in the Freedom in shooting (52.4%).
