The Misericordia men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet, Monday.
The men's 4x100m relay team of
Mike Eckman,
Aidan Marich,
Steve Clemson and
Sean Vitale finished third and broke the school-record in a time of 43.07, also qualifying for the ECAC meet.
Marich won the second heat in the 100m (11.14) and Eckman finished second (11.18).
In the field events, Vitale finished eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.18m.
For the women,
Jill Dunn was the top performer for the Cougars, finishing fourth in the 400m hurdles with a school record time of 62.74, putting her in the top 30 in the nation. She also finished fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 11.12m.
Ashlee Ward finished fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.52m while
Stephanie Grow finished sixth in the 400m (1:00.09) and ninth in the 200m (26.45), an ECAC qualifying time.
Rebecca Hindman finished sixth in the javelin (32.60m),
Stacey Perrins placed 13th in the 100m (12.84) and
Bridget Comiskey recorded a personal best with a time of 2:21.79 in the 800m.
Misericordia will travel to Troy, New York to compete in the ECAC Championships, Friday.
