Box Score The Misericordia University men's soccer team scored in the 13th minute and never looked back, defeating Juniata, 2-0, to move to 7-3 on the season.

The Cougars early goal came off the head of Derek Antonini, who scored off a corner kick from Dennis Halpin. Insurance came 69 minutes later when Nick vonEgypt played a breakaway for his team-leading third goal of the 2013 campaign.

For Antonini, it was his first goal of the season while the assist was Halpin's second.

Defensively, the Cougars recorded their sixth shutout in ten games. Barry Fitzgerald has been in net for each of those six shutouts and he had four saves on the day.

The Cougars outshot the Eagles, 13-11 in the final test before conference play begins.

Misericordia opens up league play on Saturday against Delaware Valley at 7 p.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend.
