Box Score Parker McArdle scored the only goal of the game late in the first half to lift the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 1-0 win at Susquehanna, Wednesday.

David Malaquias headed a ball to McArdle who buried a shot from 18 yards out to break a scoreless tie at 40:48.

Earlier in the half, Derek Antonini had a one-v-one with the Crusaders keeper who came up with the save.  Antonini's tough-angle rebound shot went just wide.

Just 10 minutes later, off a Nick Ferguson corner, Kevin Matlon's header was cleared off the end line by a Susquehanna defender.

Matlon and Dennis Halpin led another solid effort by MU's defensive back four as the Cougars and Barry Fitzgerald recorded their 10th shutout.

Barry Fitzgerald made four saves in goal.

Misericordia, 12-5, will wrap up the regular season when they host Wilkes, Saturday at 3:30 and will open the Freedom Conference Tournament, Wednesday.
