Box Score The Misericordia University men's soccer team captured the Cardinal Classic with a 2-0 win over Plattsburgh, Saturday.
 
Kevin Matlon and Derek Antonini both scored goals and Tournament Defensive MVP posted a five-save shutout.
 
Misericordia's Hunter Kaysa was named to the All-Tournament team.
 
Matlon gave the Cougars a 1-0 when he headed home a Trey Ziegler corner kick at 39:07.
 
Antonini fired a long-range shot off a feed from Nate Mansfield to add an insurance goal at 80:33.
 
Chris Panagacos turned in an outstanding performance at center midfield while the MU defense was anchored by a solid performance from the back four of Matlon, Kaysa, Tim Ryan and Colin Snyder.
 
Misericordia will visit Baptist Bible, Wednesday.
