Box Score The Misericordia University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-0 to Susquehanna University on Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Pedro Souza led the way for the Crusaders with two goals while Joe DeLuca added one.

The two teams played a very even first half with Susquehanna picking up a goal on some Cougar misfortune. It looked as if the MU defense made a great play to clear the ball out of the net after DeLuca sent a rebound shot towards an open net. However, the Cougar defender was behind the goal line and the Crusaders took a 1-0 lead at the 24:43 mark.

Souza then added two second half goals to secure the 3-0 victory.

Chris Panagacos,
Matt Norcini,
David Malaquias,
Chris Edkins and
Derek Antonini all had scoring chances for the Cougars, but the Cougars couldn't find the back of the net.

Barry Fitzgerald, and
P.J. Steiner combined for three saves for the Cougars while Augusto Lima had two saves en route to the Crusaders shutout victory.
