The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell at FDU-Florham, 14-4, in the MAC Freedom Championship game, Saturday afternoon.
Cara Spector scored twice for the Cougars while
Lindsay McKim and Allie Elmes both added goals.
Taylor Simeone had four ground balls and three caused turnovers and
Ashley Hobbs had four ground balls and one caused turnover.Â
Brianna Ladner had three ground balls and three caused turnovers and
Katie McLoughlin made nine saves in goal.
FDU-Florham jumped out to a 5-0 lead before McKim scored an unassisted goal with 12:00 remaining in the first half.
The Devils scored twice more before Spector scored unassisted in the final minute of the first half.
After an FDU goal to open the second half, Elmes and Spector scored two minutes apart to pull the Cougars within 8-4 with 25:51 to play.
But, the Devils scored the game's final six goals to secure the win and the MAC Freedom title.
