Misericordia University's
Amy Viti (Sugar Notch, PA/Hanover Area) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference NCAA Woman of the Year.

A senior member of the cross country and track & field teams Viti is one of 141 conference honorees, including 51 Division III student-athletees.

She was an NCAA indoor runner-up at 800m and was the ECAC champion in the same event and was the MAC indoor champion at 400m, 800m and the 4x400m relay.

Viti was named MAC Outdoor Female Track Athlete of the Year award after setting MAC records while winning the 400m and 800m at the MAC outdoor championships.

In addition, she was part of the MAC championship 4x400m relay.

Viti earned first-team All-MAC status in cross country and was part of MAC championship teams in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field.

She was Misericordia's Wendy's Female Athlete of the Year and was named Misericordia's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

She carries a perfect 4.0 GPA in speech language pathology and was the Elite 90 Award recipient at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field championships.

Viti was named to the MAC All-Academic teams in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field and was the MAC Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Now in its 26th year, the NCAA Woman of the Year honored a record 517 honorees nationwide, including 127 multi-sport athletes.
Student-athletes are recognized on the basis of academics, athletics, service and leadership.
