MU Kicks Off Second Semester with Lebanon Valley

The Misericordia University men's and women's swim teams will kick off the second semester with a meet against Lebanon Valley, Wednesday at 6:00 at the Anderson Center.
 
MU is coming off a sweep of Montclair where the men won, 142-118, and the women won, 154-103.
 
Junior, Adam Grzech, leads the team with 182.75 points and has been a staple at the top of the leader board.  He has swam fast times for the Cougars in the 50 Free (21.83), 100 Free (48.41) and the 100 back (53.06) this year for MU. 
 
Senior, Matt Moates, is the second leading point getter for MU, 6.5 behind Grzech.  He holds the fastest time in the 200 back (2:00.82) and has the second fastest time in the 200 IM (2:08.55).
 
The women are led by sophomore Bree Grzech.  She has earned 186.75 points in the eight meets.  She holds the fastest times for the Cougars in the 100 back (59.93), a school record, and the 200 back (2:12.44).  She also swam the backstroke leg in the school record breaking 400 medley relay (4:01.34).
 
Joining Grzech on the 400 Medley relay is senior Chelsea Mixon. She has played a key role for the Cougars throughout the year.  Recording 169.75 points, she has the fastest times in the 50 free (25.15), the 100 free (55.23) and the 200 free (2:02.66).
