The Misericordia University men's swim team beat Lebanon Valley in a dual meet, Tuesday evening at the Anderson Center.
The men swept every event to cruise to a 130-74 win.
MU took the top three spots in the 200 medley relay with the team of
Adam Grzech,
Doug Ranson,
Eric Schollmeyer and
Brad Thomas finished in a time of 1:42.45.
The Cougars were led with double wins by Grzech, Essington, Ranson and Schollmeyer. Grzech won the 100 back (54.15) and the 100 free (49.96), and Essington won the 1000 free (11:22.24) and the 500 free (5:28.01).
Ranson was victorious in the 100 breast (1:03.82) and the 200 breast (2:20.51) while Schollmeyer won the 50 free (22.88) and the 100 fly (56.54).
Other wins came from freshman
Peter Kolokithias, who won the 200 free (1:53.79), and freshman
Thomas Machi captured the top spot in the 200 fly (2:11.33).
Senior
Matt Moates finished first in the 200 back, with a time of 2:10.11. Freshman
Brad Thomas finished out the individual events with a victory in the 200 IM (2:13.94).
The team of Grzech, Ranson,
Chris Brozena and Schollmeyer finished the meet with a win in the 200 free relay (1:32.71).
MU will be in the water again when they celebrate their seniors on Senior Appreciation Day, Saturday against Albright.
