Women's Swimming Earns Win at King's

Junior Brittany Luzik contributed to three event wins as the Misericordia University women's swimming team earned a 121-79 victory over local rival King's College on Thursday Night at Scandlon Pool.

Luzik partnered with Leah Davis, Beth Karmondy and Aryn Zimmerman to open the meet with a big win in the 200 Medley Relay in 1:58.02. After earning a win in the 100 Freestyle (57.64), she joined Dana Hallam, Taylor Grenier and Katherine Strohosky for a victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Freshman Dani Blass continued the strong start to her career, earning victories in the 200 Freestyle (2:04.60) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:09.83). Zimmerman earned an individual victory in the 50 Free (26.91), while Davis took first in the 100 Backstroke (1:06.79).

The Cougars return to action on Wednesday, travelling to Lycoming for a 6:30 PM meet.
