Erin McGreal recorded a hat trick and
Laura Roney had two goals and two assists to lead the Misericordia women's soccer team to a 6-1 win at Bryn Mawr, Sunday.
The Cougars threatened early on a pair of corner kicks from Roney in the opening three minutes before getting on the board when
Sam Helmstetter found Roney at 6:29.
Roney made it 2-0 with a assist from
Megan Lannigan at 7:43.
The Cougars went up 3-0 when McGreal netted her first goal at 30:37 with an assist from Roney.
McGreal tallied two goals in a three-miute span to open the second half as the Cougars took a 5-0 lead.
Roney assisted on the first goal of the second half at 46:09 and McGreal added an unassisted tally at 48:36.
After Bryn Mawr got on the board at 49:42,
Meghan Antrim scored her first collegiate goal less than two minutes later to give MU a 6-1 lead.
Maureen Ciccosanti and
Caitlin Sweeney combined to make three saves in goal.
MU held a 31-7 edge in shots and had an 8-1 advantage in corners.
Misericordia will travel to Lebanon Valley, Wednesday.
